Peking Garden

Another New Year’s party, this time it’s a prelude to Kung Hei Fat Choi.
Our good friend Myrna Yao, hosted a lauriat last friday, Jan 20 in Peking Garden for the officers and some members of the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines. What was supposed to be a simple board meeting turned out to be something grand with all the food that were picked by Myrna Yao.

Peking Garden is on the top floor of Greenbelt 5 mall.

In keeping with the Chinese tradition, the Ayala Malls also put-up touches of Chinese New Year decors.

Our luncheon was at 12 noon but today, I decided I would not be the very first to arrive. In the past, I have spent at least 30- 40 minutes waiting for my colleagues to arrive. Not today, I would come when they’re already there. I just did not feel like seating for almost an hour waiting.

I took time walking and I controlled the urge to go inside the watch stores to make usyoso in this part of the mall.

I went all the way up, I thought I got lost. There’s a secret passage here.

They have roof garden. I wonder who comes here. Baka exclusive for Don Jaime Zobel lang. But then, what is he going to do here, gaze at the buildings?

There you are.. Peking duck here I come…

I did not have to wait, the ladies were blooming and ready for Peking Duck.

Sabsy is deeply spiritual kaya she’s always assigned to lead the prayers.

I intentionally skipped breakfast in anticipation of this heavy lunch. Waiter, dali, gutom na ko.

I should have started my on-line diary 20 years ago so that I would see my unat skin, not crumpled and stretched marks.

Here with Chit, Chiqui Escareal-Go and another super sikat girl Ann Tiukinhoy Pamintuan. Ann and I have been friends for more than 15 years. She has won so many local and international awards for her artistic metal furniture and fashion accessories. She added another title to her name by being the sister of Felix Tiukinhoy, one of the ninong sa kasal of Shalani Soledad and Roman Romulo.

I’m sorry, this is masarap but I forgot how it’s called. Myrna, is this abalone?

I kept on talking yata, parang I missed this fish fillet with garlic. I didn’t get to taste it.

Chit made us re-introduce ourselves to the new members. Wag na lang ito Madame President kasi it’s embarrassing to lift our own chairs. (laughs)
Margarita Fores said she’s partly responsible for our bulges.
