Ericson, The eldest son of Ellen and Edwin is now confined at the Cardinal Santos for dengue. He had fever for 4 days and his platelet count continued to drop from 145, 60, 17 to 8 this morning. Normal level is 150 (000).
He was having transfusion yesterday afternoon when Julienne and I visited him. There was also a thoughtful female Chinese friend of his parents that came with a pitcher of local wild plant Tawa-tawa tea supposedly to bring platelets up quick and fast. She also brought some Chinese medicines, with instructions all written in Chinese characters.
The tablets are for people with gun shot wounds, etc.
His Xavier and Ateneo friends came and donated blood.
Cardinal Santos Hospital
Ericson, or Coycoy, as we fondly call him, is a Barangay Kagawad in their village. He was bitten by a mosquito while inside the barangay hall.
Blood donors are welcome. Coycoy’s blood is type B+. Please go to Cardinal Santos Hospital Laboratory Department, Wilson Street, Greenhills, San Juan. Thank you.
Hello Ms. Annie! A lady I know (pero ngayon po nasa Gen.
