I used to keep a diary when I was in college but as my activities grew I couldn’t keep up so I stopped. Then when I was already working, I started keeping an executive diary to log my appointments and schedules. My website www.ohmybuhay.com is a spin-off of my diaries and appointment books. It’s a comprehensive, expanded and more high-tech version. I started posting in April of last year although I registered www.ohmybuhay.com in 2010. It took a while for me to write and post photos due to my ignorance in the use of computers. It was only in late last year that I realized that what I was doing is termed in the new world as BLOGGING.
I don’t spend time in front of the computer surfing and navigating through the many websites. I don’t shop online, I don’t check-out fashion on line because I prefer the see, touch and feel kind of experience. I prefer flipping thru catalogues than surfing thru the net. A few times I google some medical terms that concerns my family’s health. Once in a while I enjoy watching music videos on youtube. I have not ventured into other people’s sites not because they’re not interesting but I already have trouble finding the time and energy proof-reading and updating my blogs so I just spend my time on www.ohmybuhay.com.
Oh my God is one of my favorite expressions. When I am shocked, scared, pissed… I always uttered “oh my God”. So when I was thinking of an appropriate name for my website, it was but natural for me to have thought of the name Oh My Buhay. And since I am sharing things about my life— I placed a by line— A LIFE TO SHARE.
Oh My Buhay is a very personal thing to me. It’s about my life, my experiences, happiness, sadness, excitements, hatred and a ventilation for my frustrations and angers. A way to share my unsolicited advises and my being super-opinionated. It’s also a way of expressing my dreams and aspirations, crazy wants and wishes. Oh My Buhay is also a classroom where I go when I want to improve my pasang-awa English
Composition, and exercise my brain cells to force them to churn out any stored knowledge about certain topics. It’s also a venue when I want to show the whole world how excellent my proficiency in Tagalog is.
OMB has gained some loyal following (thanks to all my kababayans), and lately I have been surprised by people who are unknown to me, that they too, follow me on ohmybuhay.com. I hope that my life’s experiences influence you in a positive way.
Everything that I write about come from my heart. These stories would never never die. They would be carried on earth like rain and wind. I am keeping a chronicle of my life so that even 50 or 100 years from now, long after I am gone, my children’s children and their great great grandchildren, would know that once upon a time, there lived a very pretty girl named Annie.
