I opened my office email today and I was surprised to see a message from Mildred, the wife of my regular ohmybuhay reader Alvin Romero. She’s inviting me to her husband’s surprise 50th birthday party YESTERDAY.
I only have access to my company email when I am in the office. It’s not advisable to send messages that require immediate response on weekends. Mildred most likely got my company email address when I notified her husband that he’s one of the book winners. I am sorry Mildred, I didn’t know.

Thanks An! My birthday celebration started way back last Saturday. We watched Repertory Philippines Jekyll and Hyde. It’s a very excellent play. Yesterday, Mildred had a surprise party for me. Today, my actual birthday, we went to Bethany Children’s Home for abused children. We bought Jollibee goodies for them and gave them clothes and toiletries. In between, I’m rushing a counter-affidavit for a client which has to be filed with the Office of the Ombudsman.
