Sosi Cherry

Our cook Cherry is so sosi, and sometimes annoying.

I’ve noticed that she’s been cooking brown rice in very big casserole.
Cherry —“Ay mam sobra yan kahapon”.
Me——– Kontian mo lang ang luto at hindi naman namin nauubos.

After a week, I saw two big casseroles of brown rice inside the ref in the auxilliary kitchen. Yun pala, she’s cooking brown rice for their consumption.

Me—— Cherry, bakit mo niluluto yung brown rice namin eh meron naman kayong rice nyo?
Cherry— Eh mam, mauubus agad ang aming bigas kung hindi ako kukuha sa inyo ng brown rice.

I was so mad, I screamed at her.
It was a long discussion because she said one time I asked for white rice, nabawasan daw yung rice nila. As if naman they are the ones buying rice.

When we go to the grocery, 85% of what we buy are for the household helpers. Kunsumisyon.

When she complains about not having any more ingredients to use or no more food to cook, she doesn’t like naman to go to the grocery by herself. She wants a car, a driver. She would not walk when the sun is still up. Mapapagod daw s’ya.

Today, she gave me a list of things to get in the grocery, but when I was leaving for the office, she came up to me all dressed-up. “Mam, uuwi muna ako, balik ako bukas, sabay na lang ako sa inyo paglabas ng gate”.
Aba! And before I knew it, she was already inside the car!
And before we dropped her off, she said “Ay mam, penging P150 pamasahi!
