Last Day of Culinary Adventure

Ay salamat, I have finished my culinary adventure last saturday, April 14. Don’t ask me if I want to pursue and learn more gourmet dishes. Naku, hindi na ano, the past weeks made me realize that I have no desire to be a kitchen beauty nor a cooking sexy. I’ll just be an eating fatty.

My God, tingnan mo naman ang porma, pupunta lang sa cooking classes yan ha. Hindi ako mukhang kusinera, hindi rin labandera at lalo ng hindi plantsadora, mukhang tindera pwede pa.

Saute with olive oil, butter, onions, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and Maderea wine. Boil for one hour at least just to get the juice or drippings. These meat were just thrown away afterwards. Nahinayang ako, I wanted to bring them home for our dogs but hindi daw pwede.

Actually this tasted very good kaya na-shock ako when we just got the drippings and the assistant there dumped the meat in the garbage bin. Such a waste of food, daming nagugutom sa mundo. I really hated seeing that happened.

I sliced the truffles thinly and mixed it with the drippings

Late na ako, pero after about an hour, I felt so tired already. I sat on the kitchen counter. My classmates were as young as my children kaya they don’t get tired easily.

See how good looking and young they are- Ken, Kaye Ann, Denise

Instead of eating this here, I brought this home. I cooked it rare so I could re-heat at home.

Chef also taught us how to make delicious Apple Pie.

DSC08403

Teka, ano na nga ba ito… ….. hay, isip, isip……….. tila vanilla yata yun and sugar.
DSC08408

Denise and Ken found out that peeling apples is not that easy.
DSC08415

Cehf Chalopin prefers vanilla over cinnamon when making apple pie

    1. Enderun buys most of their special ingredients from Santi’s. But I am not sure where they bought the foie gras. I think Santi’s also.
