Looking at the words BEST MOM gives me mixed emotions.
In the beginning of my career as a young wife, I was very idealistic and had all this imagination and dreams of being the perfect wife, the perfect mother, the perfect person. Sadly, in my own assessment, I failed in all counts, not miserably, not so bad, but not excellent as I have planned and hoped to be. I had many misconceptions about life, had many failed expectations which affected my ability and emotions to perform better as a wife, as a mother and as an individual. I wish I had done better.
When my children give me notes, flowers, gifts, hug me and kiss me, I somehow feel, maybe I didn’t do bad after all. Maybe in their eyes, I was and I am a good mother.
