The Dining Room

I must have seen this dining room before in one, two or three Holywood movies.

Mr. Hearst sure liked this church’s wall panels. Double purpose, you can have dinner, while having confession.

The long and narrow table sits 24. Mr. Hearst sat in the middle. I could only surmise that the farther away you were from him, the less important you were.

You know how much I love plates. Oh my, my heart jumped when I saw the original plates set on the table. Gusto kong iuwi. Are these plates for sale? Of course hinde. Those plates belonged to The Mrs. Hearst. Which one? tila yung orig. Hula ko lang.

According to the tour guide, these plates were Made in England by Blue willow. I googled and googled but couldn’t find them. There are a lot of similar stuff but not exactly like this.

The king of the castle liked catsup and mustard. Expired na kaya iyan? That would cure my constipation.

I liked our tour guide, for one he spokening dollar, not yuan or remimbi, he offered a lot of interesting facts about the lives of Mr. Hearst and he was very knowledgeable with regards to the origin of the furnishings inside the house.

Ceiling yan, the wood panels also came from a church in Europe. Lagyan ko rin ng banderitas ang dining area namin.

I hate mustard, but if they invite me to dine here……. I would still not eat mustard. Ang Tagalog ba ng mustard eh mustasa?

Madasalin siguro si Mr. Hearst or yung wife nya. Puro galing sa simbahan yung mga dekorasyon nya.
