The Women’s Business Council Committe members who are in-charge of the forthcoming Women to Women Summit on November 8, 2011 met yesterday at HYPHY’S located at the Veranda in Robinson’s Galleria.
This new restaurant is the brainchild of CHEF BRUCE LIM and wife Michelle. Co-owners are Darlyn Ty, owner of Belle de Jour, who became famous when she made her first million at the age of 26, and marketing gurus, spouses Joshia and Chiqui Go.
Chef Bruce Lim also owns Chef’s Table at the Fort and co-hosts Tablescapes at the Asian Food Channel with Angel Aquino. He grew up in the Bay Area, which explains why the name SAN FRANCISCO is prominent in his collaterals.

Inquirer would feature the WBC women in the supplement. That’s why the ladies came looking glamorous, except me who only gate crashed, kaya I was wearing pambahay.

I asked PJ about the food, he said the clam chowder is a 9 over 10. WOW, almost perfect score ah!
MYLENE ABIVA also ordered clam chowder but she just said “it’s good”. she couldn’t give me a rating so I decided to taste it myself so I could judge it based on my own palate.
I am matakaw so I like eating out, and I have tasted so many variations and styles of clam chowder, mostly in the US. I like mine not too creamy, not pasty, not too much potatoes. I want more of the clam taste and I want to see real clams, since it’s first and foremost, a clam chowder.
Hyphy’s clam chowder is served in sourdough bread, and for that I will give it a 9. For its price of P170 I will give it an 8. For the taste, based on my own taste preference, I will give it a 6.
Location and interiors, comfort, informal dining, I give it a 7.
