Our room at the Seda Hotel last July was a premium room with a small living area but we found it tight. For our visit this October, Edmund booked a premium room at the Richmonde Hotel Iloilo.
We were given a room on the fifth floor.
We were shocked at how big the room (501) was.
E—-“Pwede kang magbasketball dito”.
When we first entered our room in Seda Hotel, Edmund and I spent a good half hour analyziing the oddness of the lay out. Dapat inusog itong dingding, dapat eto ganito. Pinakialaman namin yung space planning nila. Dito naman sa Richmonde, the room was huge and we felt empty and gloomy.
We noticed the flooring was marble kaya it felt cold. Parang matigas. Parang luma.
E—“Bumili ka ng carpet”.
A—“Kulang sa wall decor, lalagyan ko ng painting duon, at duon pa at dito pa”.
E—-“Busy ka pagdecorate”.
My husband wanted to give me a comfortable room because I would be the one who would be staying in the room longer, but this room made me feel depressed.
A—-“Tart, kung iiwan mo akong mag-isa dito parang hindi ako comfortable. Malulungkot ako. I don’t want to stay here alone”.
After my husband heard me say that I didn’t want to be left alone in room 501, he requested to be moved to a de luxe room.
E—-“Tingnan muna namin kung okay yung room”.
The second room we’ve seen felt more homey. It was smaller but felt more “it”.
It’s overlooking the swimming pool.
E—–“Magswimming ka”.
A—–“Baka mag-alisan yung mga guests”.
It has a nice desk, this would be my domain.
The wall between the shower and the room is made of clear glass. I can see Edmund while he takes a shower. Wow or Woah? He can also watch while I shower. Buti na lang merong roll-up blinds otherwise baka pagpantasyahan pa nya ako.
