I went to Sally’s Beauty Supply and it’s a treasure trove of beauty products. Beauticians and owners of beauty salons would find in here every thing they’re business would need.

I have an appointment with Shaunda, a beautician, on tuesday morning for hot oil treatment and trim. She does house calls for an extra $10, maybe more if you live far. Lucky me, she lives just a few miles away. I actually met her last June in a salon but that salon closed last month. I spoke to the owner, she said she had to close it because she wasn’t getting enough business. She went back to working as an accountant. Both Shaunda and the former salon owner are black. They are sisters in church, as they term their close friendship.
