Last year the popular handbag in Manila for the middle-priced tier was CHAMP. My daughter and I would play count when we were at the mall, church, restaurant, and just about anywhere. Women paraded with their Champ bags. One time I was waiting for my ride from Medical City, a van stopped and a family of 5 women got-off the vehicle, each one of them carrying a Champ handbag. I was like “what? what’s with these ladies?”.
This year, the Champ craze has waned. occasionally I would still see these bags, but the new in thing in Manila for the middle-price segment is MICHAEL KORS. Citibank has an on-going promo with MK as the prize. Their pomo last year had Champ as the prize. See the trend?
Michael Kors is a good value for money brand. The styles are classy and the bags are functional. I have one that I’ve been using for a year. Sulit na sulit.
