A Visit to Kuya Junior

(Rewind to July. I will eventually move all the delayed posts to July)

Kuya Junior didn’t come to the Father’s Day dinner held at Kuya Romy’s house in Hayward. We were told that he’s having some back problems and finds it difficult to drive long and far. He lives in Fair Oaks, Sacramento, a good two hours drive from Hayward. I didn’t want to come home without seeing him so we drove to Sacramento instead and visited him at his house.

Let me show you their house:

Kuya and Ate Linda live in this custom 4 bedroom house in Sacramento. Three of the rooms are now devoid of furnishings because their sons now have their own places and brought their beds with them.

That’s their across- the- street neighbor. All the houses around here are custom-made. They’re not pare-pareho like in typical California heighborhoods.

Kuya Junior was the one who opened the door when we arrived.
