I went to ECHOstore in Podium yesterday at noon. I bought one kilo of adlai, camote chips, shampoo, noodles, etc.
I was going to cook lugaw for a friend of mine and I thought of using adlai, a healthier alternative to rice because of its lower glycemic content. Adlai is locally grown and usually found in the regions of Zamboanga, Cordilleras, and Northern Mindanao.
Oyen was the one who first introduced me to this gluten-free grain. She’s also the one who goes to Echostore to buy this P400 a kilo healthy food but we ran out of supply so I panicked and went to ECHOstore myself.
It’s so nice to shop here for alternative products.
Organic, natural, and with no harmful ingredients
I will start my Christmas shopping next week and instead of buying imported stuff, I will patronize Philippine produce. I will pack them in wooden boxes, cardboard, paper bags, and bamboo baskets. Don’t wrap your gifts in printed paper coated with plastic unless they’re recycled from past Christmases. Dapat natural na lang.
I think it’s also nice to give bigas, asukal, paminta, pechay, saging, upo, patola, talong, okra, sitaw, sili, pakwan, langka (not in season). Chit, do you sell patola?
