Sleep is the best antidote

I read somewhere that sleep is the best antidote to getting sick.
It’s more important than exercise. Getting 8 hours of sleep every night keeps us feeling recharged, healthy, happy.

It’s good for our psychological health. It balances our emotions. In fact, people who lack sleep are more prone to depression. This is the reason why psychologists and psychiatrists prescribe sleeping tablets to their patients, so they can get enough sleep. However, this sometimes worsens their condition because the medicine gives the patients imbalance and the more they become depressed. Try your best to sleep naturally without any need for sleep-inducing prescription drugs.

Sleep is our physical and mental health booster. It repairs our blood vessels and strengthens our heart and immune system much more than exercise.

I lack sleep. Today, while I was in the office, I couldn’t even start composing a letter. I was duling na duling sa antok. I have a sofa in my office but I don’t want to sleep there. I spritzed my face with the Evian water spray to jolt me up.

5:30 am
The other night, Edmund woke up in the middle of the night and found me watching tv. “Tart, hindi ka makatulog?”
He went back to sleep. I fell asleep a few minutes later.

9 am:
E—-“Tart, hindi ka nakatulog? Puyat ka?”
A—-“Oo, dami kong iniisip.”
E—-“Anong iniisip mo?”
A—-“Ikaw…”
E—-“Ako? Eh kalapit mo lang ako.”
A—“Miss na miss kita (joke!), iniisip ko mga anak ko, ang office, … kung anu-ano, pati sarili ko.”
E—-“Sarili mo?”
