ALDO Day 1

We went inside ALDO shoes store in Powell Street, San Francisco. Edmund just browsed for less than 5 minutes and felt lazy to choose or try on shoes.

We are attending a formal event on saturday and he did not bring a pair of formal shoes from Manila. Today, he decided he would just buy from ALDO. It would be too far to go back to SFO so I Googled ALDO for other branches’ location.
Since we’re going to Discovery Bay and Brentwood, I looked for a branch somewhere in Brentwood. I copied the address, the cross streets, landmarks and the phone number.

We first went to Discovery Bay, then Lone Tree Way where Aldo’s was supposed to be. Edmund was driving and I was navigating. We couldn’t find it. Edmund was skeptical that I got the direction right. So I phoned the number and a guy with an Indian accent answered.
Annie me— “Hi, is this Aldo’s?”
Guy——– Yes, this is Aldo’s.
Annie me—- We are going there and where exactly your location is? Are you beside Bank of America?
Guy——- We are beside Traders Joe. Home Depot, Michael’s.
Annie me—- Okay, we’re going there. Thanks.

We saw Chipotle in the same complex so we ate first.
Annie me—- kain na uli’t tayo dito kasi malapit na tayong umuwi, samantalahin na natin.

After we ate, we looked for ALDO’s. We couldn’t find it. We drove around the shopping complex and no Aldo.

Edmund—– Sigurado ka ba kalapit ng Traders Joe?
Annie-me—– Eh yun nga ang sabi nung Indian. “We’re beside Traders Joe”.
Edmund—– Pag dating sa direksyon, kabado ako sa ‘yo.
Mukhang sabit yata. Bakit wala naman dito? Pag-ikaw ang nagbigay ng direksyon, kailangan i do double check ko muna.
Annie me——- Eh tama naman ang direksyon ko papuntang Discovery Bay ah!
Edmund—– Pero ito, 2nd time na… mali. Ikutan uli natin

So we drove around the complex again and focused on TradersJoe. There was ALDO’s, in a tiny space. Not the ALDO store selling shoes. But Aldo’s shoe repair.

Edmund—– Eh eto nga si Aldo, si Mang Aldo pala!

mALI pala ako, I should’ve Googled ALDO and not Aldo’s. Kaya si mang Aldo ang nakopya ko. Ay b o b o!

Parking in front of Sports Authority, Traders Joe, etc.
