One thing that I admire about the American way is that employees don’t mind multi-tasking. When they work, they take-on several responsibilities like this lady from CVS. She helped me find the item I was looking for. When I was ready to pay she went to the counter and processed my payment. Cashier din sya. Then I saw her vacuuming the floor. When I needed help on the lotto machine, she stopped what she was doing and gladly helped me.
Ibang-iba sa ating mga Pilipino. Our lavandera was pirated by a neighbor in the village. When I messaged the employment agency if they have a lavandera, she asked if the lavandera would also be the one to iron the clothes. Abah, ganyan na ba ngayon? Bukod sa labandera, kailangan pala babayad pa kami ng plantsadora.
