Angelino Restaurant

Our plan was to go to Embarcadero to eat oysters or to Fisherman’s Wharf for dungeness crab but we got hungry while strolling and oggling at the many shops here in Sausalito so we ended up having lunch/merienda/early supper combination at an authentic Italian restaurant called Angelino.

And why did I say Angelino is authentic? The owners are Italian, the chefs are Italian and the cashier is Italian!

Thre’s a mural on the wall separating the kitchen. It was done by an Italian artist depicting the coastal town of Positano.

Len and I split this Linguine con Vongole. It had fresh clams, garlic, pepperoncino and we chose white wine instead of tomato sauce. I sprinkled some salt because it was a little tabang.

The sour dough with olive oil dip was good while waiting for the main course most especially because I was tired, starving and wanting for a comfort food.

Aileen and I both liked the Fritto Misto. It had deep fried squid rings, shrimps, zucchini and fennel. We thought it was a perfect dish except for one tiny slice of fried fish fillet which we thought was out of place and matinik.

We shared one order of Trilogy of Sorbetto e Gelato ($10.50). They say these are organic and locally produced by Noci of Mill Valley.
