After decades of waiting, the Balangiga Bells are finally home.
I have my own version at home. Several years ago Oyen sent the messenger to Chinatown to buy a small bell for the office. For use when it’s recess time parang sa school. Eh the messenger bought a huge one we could not even lift.
When I saw the giant bell made of brass I told Oyen “akin na lang”.
O—-“Are you sure?”
Yesterday I brought it to the farm. I don’t know where to put it yet.
When Edmund saw it
he said “O, nadito pala yung Balangiga bells.”
