The first grand celebration of the Binangonan Association of Northern California (BANC) was held last Saturday night at the Moose Lodge in Vallejo.
Aileen and Bong were the “punong-abala” so it’s a must that we attended.
I was glad I did.
I met long lost friends and distant relatives. My childhood friend, classmate and kumare, Sarry Callanta, came all the way from Los Angeles to grace the affair. We haven’t seen each other for 15 years eversince she left for the US. Sarry was with her husband Olan Celestial, the current president of the Binangonan Association of Southern California.
I have also met for the first time several people who were regular readers of Ohmybuhay. I was really surprised. They told me they read omb everyday and some, several times a day. Thank you so very much.
