Hi Annie,
I found your blog when I heard a voice recording of Lotis key. It was during Mr. Dolphy’s hospitalization. I got curious of Lotis, googled her name and there was one of your blog entries – when she gave you an antique plate.

Oh, I have read all your posts. as if I already met and know your entire family, household staff etc. But Please, don’t think I’m a stalker.
I enjoy reading ypur post – I check your blog on a daily visit. It always put a smile on my face.

By the way, you just influenced me – I bought a Braun Buffel bag at Changi Airport SIN. on Nov. 6, 2012. I told the Filipino S.A. about your blog. He’s happy !
To me, you’re a very good influence. Kaya, I told my sisters and friends about this blog….Hala, mas super busy na ito now!
Take care!

Dear besYS,
Thank you for saying that I am a good influence.
When I was little, the dad of our neighbor told to my face that I was a bad influence to his son. Kasi they were about to go to church and there I was outside their house calling his son to come play with me instead. He told me “magdasal ka”. His son dropped his porcelain tea pots play set while going up our stairs and the parents blamed me for that. To begin with, they should not have bought those tea pots for him kasi for girls yun. Kaya siguro nature took it’s own course, hayun, dumami.
One afternoon, the two of us were having a contest, jumping rope, he tried to beat me by jumping/skipping up to one hundred fifty counts. I think he collapsed and spent a few days in the hospital. Again, I was the culprit daw.
I invited a friend for lunch in Greenhills and the husband waited outside the restaurant. He thought I was lakwatsera and influencing his wife. I never went out with her again.
Shopping? My daughter said I am an instigator so be wary of me.
Thanks again bes for reading ohmybuhay.

Gandang-ganda nga ako sa mga plates mo. I enjoy going to Estate Sales here in the US. May “calendar of events” pa ako. 😉
    Thanks for this wonderful blog.

  2. overprotective parents on the brink of blindness! i had an awful encounter with such a parent! her kids are my daughter’s playmates and she and her old aunt blamed my daughter for what her hardheaded daughter did! the old aunt kept on reminding my daughter that they haven’t forgotten that her apo suffered a “bukol” in our house (she fell off our duyan, my kids and the yaya forbid her to take a swing on the duyan but she went on to do it). well i won’t tell here what i did (legally) just so the bad adults will have to stop their verbal harrassmentsto my daughter…:)

  3. Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you. I enjoy your blog and look forward to new oh my buhay posts.
