Blessing Part 2

Ang mga punong abala, Jaymar Paralejas Villegas, president of the mini-parish committee and Cielito (Babyruth) Cenidoza Celestra – Cebanico , both my relatives. The mass hasn’t started yet pero mukhang tulog na ako.

Buong sanggunian o tagapa-muno ng bayan, Mayor Boyet Ynares and wife Elvie, Councilor Paralejas- (second daughter of Remy Paralejas), standing behind me is Councilor Boogie Antiporda, at yung mga nasa likod are all Councilors, Punong Barangay etc. Puro sila naka barong.

I have expected that the residents would all be there kaya masikip and mainit but I also expected some breeze coming from the lake, and since it’s in the evening, I was hopeful that it’s going to be presko. I was wrong, super wrong.
It was so hot and H U M I D, every square millimeter of my body was soaking, Edmund was so pawis and feeling itchy from his barong. The silk lining of my gown aggravated the feeling of stickiness.
The bench seats 5 people but not when all of you are feeling extremely hot and sticky and sweaty.

My God I look constipated. Bakit kaya ako naka-ngiwi?
Jobert Duavit Cruz. Jobert and I spend a lot of time on the phone. He loves talking about cars and cars.

Rev. Fr. Ric Equia is the Parish Priest of the new church. This Sacred Heart was donated by yours truly about ten years ago. I am so happy it was given prominence. It needs a new dress though. Medyo kupas na yung red, it used to be dark red. I will have a new dress made within this year.

Rizal Congressman Joel Duavit , mukhang seryoso or init-na init rin siguro.

Edmund and I were also present at the blessing of the new Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral in Tagaytay,
The blessing and mass extended for at least three hours kasi ang daming seremonyas. Edmund got worried that the ceremony in Pila would be very long eh super init nga. Okay lang sa Tagaytay kasi malamig.

Pila-pila’s was a much simpler version.

In Tagaytay, Holy Oil was poured and rubbed on the altar table first, then they wrapped the table with clear plastic, then the white linen cloths followed. In Pila-pila, there was no Holy Oil, only several layers of white cloth.

Next time I visit the church, I will take a new photo of this marker. Masyadong madilim na kasi.

The event is a double celebration, being the 51st wedding anniversary of Tiyo Bibit and Tiya Vilma. Would you believe she’s the flower girl at my parents’ wedding held at the St. Ursula Parish in Poblacion, Binangonan, Rizal?

Oh, all you married couples, dapat ganyan din ka-sweet. Aabot pa kaya kami ng 50 years or 51 ?
Baka maglaglagan ang mga pustiso pag nag kissing kissing pa tayo. I don’t have pustiso yet but my teeth have started to march kaya mukhang malapit na.

The crowd shouted for a second kiss.. “Kisssss, Kisss”, which made the couple burst into laughter. Kiss ulit.
