Chinese New Year Decor at Bellagio’s Grand Atrium

I went to Bellagio Hotel & Casino last Sunday noon. Workers and decorators were all busy decorating the grand atrium with a new theme. Goodbye Christmas welcome Chinese New Year.

It feels like I am in Macao, not in Las Vegas.

Several florists were transforming the atrium into a grand Chinese garden full of fresh blooms.

They removed the Christmas display and were now replacing them with Chinese New Year theme with a giant dog as the most prominent feature.

This giant dog costs over $100,000 according to one of Bellagio’s staff.

Oh yeah, we’re entering the Year of the Dog. Kaw kaw kaw (in Binangonan), arff arff arff (in California). Woof woof (in Chicago).

Chinese New Year is on February 16, 2018 and it’s the year of the Dog based on the Chinese Zodiac. It ends on February 4, 2019. You are a dog if you were born in one of these years: 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, and babies who would be born this year 2018.

It’s this time of the year when manghuhula, astrologers, will come up with their own predictions. Whatever they say, just believe in God, believe in your self, keep loving, living, do good and be good.
Of course those who wish for financial prosperity, dapat hindi ka tatamad-tamad.

I wish every single of you a good and long life.

In God we trust.
