I went to Robinson’s Galleria for some errands. I also bought three camisoles, one black, one white, and one colored flesh.

While I was walking, I heard someone calling me. I turned around and saw a friend. I asked what he was doing in Galleria, he said he renewed his NBI clearance. He is switching jobs daw. He is giving up his business of importing communication equipment from Japan because their big clients decided to rent instead of buying and they also are switching to some cheaper kinds. You know from where.

I don’t know how our conversation swerved from business to personal. We stood in the mall’s hallway talking about his love life. I noticed the janitor never stopped mopping the section of the floor right beside me.

My friend is 45 years old and never been married.

CJ—-“Alam mo ba I am this close to getting married?” I have made all the preparations, everything is ready, gawa na ang wedding gown, and for the whole entourage, the reception, then…”
OMB—-“Then what happened?”
CJ—–“Two months before our wedding, at tsaka nagluko.”
OMB—–“Hah? How did you find out?”
CJ—–“Her relatives told me.”
OMB—-“Okay na yun that you found out two months before your wedding rather than two months after.”
OMB—-“Did you get back the ring?”
CJ—-“Of course. I told her she can keep everything except for the ring. That came from my mom.”
OMB—-“Hay mabuti na lang.”

OMB—-“How long have you been dating?”
CJ—–“Three years. She was my friend’s younger sister.”
CJ—–“Because she’s already married and has a kid.”
OMB—-“Maganda ba? Sexy?”
CJ—–“Yesssssss.”
OMB—-“How old was she then?”
CJ—–“Thirty plus. She’s younger than me by 10 years.”

He told me one time they went out to a dinner buffet. He ate too much lechon he felt dizzy while driving her home. He pulled over because he was really feeling nauseated. The girl started screaming and ordered him to hurry up so she could be home asap. She was yelling and yelling. There was no concern about his health condition, all she insisted was for him to keep driving so she could be home fast.

He drank water and felt a little better so he continued driving, while she kept on nagging him. When they reached the girl’s house in Quezon City, CJ asked her if he could go inside to rest for a while and if he could have coffee hoping he would feel better.
She didn’t want to. She yelled at him and told him to leave right away. CJ didn’t get it, the girl obviously has no concern for him.

The brother of the girl saw what was happening so he got him a cup of hot water.

CJ left, that was around midnight. He said he fell asleep while driving along EDSA. Luckily, his eyes opened just before he hit the back of a truck full of construction materials and pipes. He could have died had he not stepped on the brakes just in time.
As soon as he reached home, the brother of the girl called. He asked CJ to drive back to their house in QC.

There, the guy reported that CJ’s fiancee had left right after CJ left their house. Someone picked her up. She has been going out with some guy for more than a year already.

CJ—–“Syempre.” Matagal. Hayy, charge to experience.”
OMB—-“Nagkatuluyan ba sila nung naka Porche?”

CJ—-“After that, I had another girlfriend, 24 years old, a model.”
Mahina na kita kasi tumatanda na sya. Teenagers na ang mga kinukuha.”

But I split with her after one month and a half.”
OMB—–“Ha? Ang bilis?”

CJ—-“Eh kasi the mother was obligating me to send all the other siblings to college.
By the time they finish I would be a senior citizen already.”

OMB—-“Why? How many are they?”

The father left the mom 4 years after they got married.
He fathered 3 children from another woman.
He went back to the mom 10 years later and got her pregnant.
He left again before she gave birth.
He fathered a child with another woman.
He resurfaced and got his first wife pregnant again.
He left her again.
The mom had an affair with another man and got pregnant two more times.

OMB—-“Oh my God ang dami nga nyan. You have to establish a scholarship fund.”

I hope you dear readers picked up some lessons from CJ’s love life.

I think his dating pattern is repetitive, he goes for pretty and sexy bimbos instead of well-educated females with stable corporate jobs.
