Edmund was out of town. Oyen had classes.
I called my son and asked where he was going to eat dinner. He said he’s on his way home. I invited him to have dinner with me and he said “okay”.
We chose Basil for its good food, fast service, rustic ambiance and proximity to our place. However, if you’re planning to go there, parking is limited, maneuvering is tricky, and for ladies, I do not advise going by yourself at night.
We’ve always loved Thai food.
We ordered fresh spring rolls as starter . The dark green veggie made the spring roll hard to bite.
Crispy Fish with mango salad. This was good and light.
I looked horrible; but actually this was already the best picture. The place was too dark for picture taking. The other shots looked worst.
Peppered prawns (5 pieces/order)
Nyke——-Mommy, use flash.
Mother and son ordered two kinds of dessert for sharing:
Sticky rice with mango
I ordered thai halo-halo with water chestnuts. After 3 mintues, the waitress came back and adviseed me that they ran out of halo-halo.
I ordered a small scoop of coconut sherbet instead. It was perfect when paired with the sticky rice and fresh mango.
Thank you anak for spending time with me. Love u.
