The Oscar’s restaurant sits on top of the highest peak inside the Eugenio Lopez compound in Antipolo, a 10-hectare estate owned by the same family who owns ABS-CBN,  President Duterte’s favorite television network.

My husband brought me here knowing that I would like the view.

We were a little wary though because they only have inddor dining,

Oscsr's

Oscar’s was named after Oscar Lopez, the patriarch of the Lopez clan and father of the creator and chef of the restaurant, Oscar “Cary” Lopez Jr.

Cary has always been passionate about food and loved to whip up dishes at home.  Oscar’s is just a venue to express his love for good food.

Clear plastic was used to separate diners but the chairs from neighboring tables were too close, less than 6 feet.

The dishes are basically Filipino food but with a twist.

The floor to ceiling glass windows allow an unobstructed panoramic view.   My dalandan juice seemed to taste better drinking it from top of the world.

Pinakbet with crispy lechon kawali.

Binagoongang crispy baboy.  Edmund ordered this but this would be his last kasi salty food is now bad for him.

Chicken binakol with  fresh buko.

Highly recommended

Here comes sunset

m  There’s a 38-room hotel adjacent to the restaursnt.  The security guard intimated that there are ABS-CBN actors nd actresses staying there currently.  The crew are holed up in the compound while filming teleserye.

Here comes the night sky.

The large terrace on the restaurant’s roof deck has one of the best views in Metro Manila.   Many weddings were held here before the pandemic.

We would like to bring Oyen here soon.
