Dulcinea and Buca di Beppo

May 14, 2022

My daughter invited me to join them for dinner in Estancia Mall. She knew I was buying paint from Home Depot in Julia Vargas while they were at the mall so she asked me if I wanted to come and join them. Medyo I was hesitant because three is a crowd.

Oyen’s childhood favorite restaurant was Dulcinea. There was a Dulcinea on the lower ground floor of Robinsons Galleria and we used to dine there a lot with her shoti.

We had no specific plans as to where to eat but when we saw Dulcinea, it was an instant choice.

Dulcinea
Buca di Beppo occupies the other half of the restaurant, obviously the same owner or franchisee.
Cozy vintage-style café with colorful ceiling murals and warm lighting.
My first time dining in Buca was on May 19, 2011, in Las Vegas with the Federal Phoneix group. Wow, that was a long time ago. I have a very good memory? Not at all. I have Oh My Buhay to help me remember. Unfortunately, the website developer I asked to help me fix my site accidentally erased the photos. I don’t know what happened but that was unfortunate. Nakakalungkot. I lost hundreds of photos.
Vibrant cafe interior with yellow walls and framed photos.

Rustic restroom entrance with artistic decor and a humorous sign.
I agree.  Train your pwet to poo only when you’re in your own house.
Sign prohibiting dog pooping in the area.
Oyen ordered food from Dulcinea and from Buca too.   Derrick ordered adobo and etc. from Dulcinea.

This is from Buca.
Plate of crackers arranged around a bowl of cheese and herb dip.
We ordered a large plate of her favorite beef salpicao. I couldn’t tell if the taste was consistent with how she remembered this dish.
