We adhered to the government’s fire prevention awareness program so we requested the Bureau of Fire Protection to conduct a short talk on fire prevention at our office in Mazda Makati. They sent a very pretty and young inspector (22 years old) to our office to the delight of the young guys. At 22, she sounded like a real pro and an experienced fire fighter.
The short seminar was very informative. I learned how to use a fire extinguisher.
The best part of the seminar was the merienda consisting of pansit bihon guisado, pichi-pichi and coke courtesy of Julienne. It was her birthday treat to the staff.

I found out that when you have fifty (50) employees and up, the law requires companies to form their own fire brigade consisting of a Marshall, Deputy Marshall, Rescue (victims) and Salvage (not to kill but to save company properties) Team, Security Team, etc. We shall do this in the next few weeks. We shall organize and train our own fire brigade. We are also going to have a fire drill in April. I am also planning of bringing to our residence the BFP personnel to conduct a similar seminar in front of our household staff. Our house and I almost burned because of my stupidity. I lighted a candle at the altar, took a shower, then totally forgot about it. I couldn’t open the fire extinguisher because of panic and I simply didn’t know how.
