Apologies, my postings are not in accordance with the sequence of events.
Our flight took off a little past 9 am. The PAL plane is a 320 with few business class seats taken by the Cabinet Secretaries and President Aquino. The businessmen were all in the economy section but we were one seat apart. My seat mate was Ambassador Alfred Yao. My seat number was 11A.
Fred with DOTC Secretary Mar Roxas
(Left) Belle Corporation Chairman Willy Ocier was on Row 12, here with Wilson Flores.
DTI Sec. Greg Domingo
The ride was a little bumpy bumpy over the Strait of Taiwan. According to Fred Yao, it’s always like that. He knows, because his company Zest Air regularly flies this route.
I was actually so busog, I ate two bowls of lugaw at the PAL Mabuhay Lounge.
Parang heaven (as if I’ve been to heaven).
Welcome to the tarmac.
The red carpet is for the President, not for us.
The dog just watched while we went down the stairs.
Proudly, Asia’s first airline. Sana wag na kayong mag-strike.
Rest time, the welcome ceremony has ended.
How nice naman the Japanese to hang our flags in the airport.
Presidential escorts.
