Ford Cainta Inauguration Part 1

October 18, 2012 Thursday

I arrived home at almost two, took a quick shower, wisik-wisik na lang, apply ng kilay and dress-up. Dressing-up has always been the not-so-fun part of any event, kasi nga, alam mo na…ssshhhhh (bilbils). Hiding them was a challenge and nowadays, I do not even try. Di ba sabi nila, “if you have it, flaunt it”. Teka hindi pa they’re referring to big boobs and not big puson and tyan? But that’s all I have, so flaunt it? Cannot be, too horrific.
Maka pag girdle kaya? hindi naman ako makahinga, baka mapaaga buhay ko. Or hold my breath na lang? I would turn blue, mahimatay naman ako. Ay, never mind na lang.

Our plan was to leave the house at 2 pm but it was 2:20 pm and Julienne was still in the parlor.
At exactly 2 pm, #1 violinist Jay Cayuca was calling “Mam, nadito na’ko”. “Naku Jay, bilib naman ako sayo ang aga mo, nauna ka pa sa akin”. “Mam, sige magtatanghalian muna kami”. Okay.

We arrived in Ford Cainta at 3:30 and Tiyo Bibit was already there. Buti na lang Emdund went ahead of us and he kept him company.
I greeted and kissed him “Ang aga ho ninyo. Naku hindi pa ho ako nakasapatos”. He replied, “eh bakit pa kailangang magsapatos”. His assistant Nelda said “Takot sa traffic”.

I was impressed that despite the odd hour of 4 pm, the traffic in front of Ever Gotesco and Cainta being out of the way to those coming from Makati, 95% of our guests arrived on time.

The guests of honor are here, Johnny Litton is here, Monsignor Arnel Lagarejos is here, Mayor Mon Ilagan has arrived, Randy Krieger, Edmund’s guests, food is ready, drinks and pass around cocktails… fine,
okay…. let’s get this show on the road…

Lights, Camera, Action….

to be continued
