When I am visiting a first world country, you will find a lot of photos of roadways and freeways in my blog. It’s very relieving to drive along and through wide, smooth, clean, orderly and well paved roads, with complete signages, street markings that make driving easier for commuters.
The absence of colorful streamers and tarpaulines with pictures of councilors, mayors, and barangay tanods contribute a great deal to the overall “maaliwalas ang paligid” look. Their freeways are picture-free. I have been here for more than a week and yet I haven’t seen a picture of President Barack Obama announcing that the laying of asphalt along Freeway 580 is HIS project. I like President Noynoy Aquino, we share the same kind of irritation seeing faces of politicians plastered along bridges, highways, canals.
You will see a lot of pictures of roads, natutuwa talaga ako, parang ang sarap mamasyal. Unlike sa atin, araw-araw puro puwit ng bus ang nakikita ko.
