For dinner on our first day in Tokyo, we were all wishing for an original tempura but guess
what, we were brought by Yoko, our tour guide for today to Oven City for dinner.
Oven city is a 3 minute drive from DiverCity.
Yoko dos said we have until 7:30 pm to complete our dinner and shopping. HaH? But it’s already 6:15, I complained that we need more time but she said the driver has to be home to get a minimum number of hours rest.
Yoko always forgets what she’s about to say and she tells us she is having her senior moment. It’s not a good thing to have an older tour guide. Makakalimutin na nga ako, yung tour guide makakalimutin rin.
Okay, let’s see what they have.
It’s very similar to the Chinese buffets in America.
Chinese tofu, yangchow fried rice, taco, pizza, calamares, onion rings, fried chicken, roast beef and sof ice cream.
Even the plastic container for the soft ice cream is the same as the lalagyan in California.
I drizzled mine with lots of Hershey’s chocolate syrup, yum yum
We ate fast so we saved some 20 minutes extra time after dinner to explore Oven City.
These two, named Maji and Majibu (or something like that) came in on a nice stroller, with fur coats, pushed by a middle aged Japanese guy. They are so trained and when I asked permission from the owner to take their pictures, he spoke to them and asked them to pose.
