December 22, 2017 Beverly Hills
Yen and I spent practically the whole day walking around Rodeo Drive. On our way back to the hotel, we got attracted to a sculpture displayed at the window of Galerie Michael. It looked like a melted clock hanging on a clothes hanger. It was done by Salvador Dali.
We went inside the art gallery and before we knew it, we were already exploring every nook and cranny of the huge gallery trying to find something that would interest us and fit our shallow budget.
They have an extensive collection of Salvador Dali and Marc Chagall.
I really liked this framed scarf designed by Picasso. It was signed with red ink. When I asked the gallery if Picasso’s signature was original, they said it was also part of the print. Pass. I wanted his original signature. Although most likely I would not be able to afford even a tenth of his signature.
I brought my children to art galleries even when they were still small. They patiently waited while I walked from one store to another admiring the paintings. I would rather visit galleries than shop for clothes.
Hila-hila ko sila when I ogle at paintings.
Now as adults, they have a good appreciation for art.
If you’ve seen the movie Notting Hill starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts gave Hugh Grant an original painting by Marc Chagall.
This small painting by Chagall is for sale for $390,000

Your website is fantastic and your gallery is as beautiful as ever!
If the Dali melting clock is still available, I am interested. Please let me know as soon as possible. It would have to be shipped to Michigan. Thank you.
Hi John, I will forward your message to Richard Rice of Galerie Michael.
