What do you give to an 86 year old woman on her birthday? Foodstuff that she would not end up eating, the most is she would take a bite then give them away to her household staff. Personal stuff—- that she won’t like or use. Plates? I don’t think we share the same passion.
She likes to decorate her house with a red and green- Christmas motif. So instead of giving her things that she won’t be interested in, I decided to get her a Santa Claus instead that I think she would better appreciate and could add to her home decor.
I found it in Robinsons Galleria. The Santa is standing beside a pole with a lamp made of capiz.
I thought it wouldn’t be necessary to wrap it but the sales staff encouraged me to have it wrapped. Free naman daw. So okay. After waiting for almost 45 minutes, it was done.
I asked for my receipt. Hala, they looked at each other. They left the receipt inside the box taped on the lamp post.
They had to open the box again to look for the receipt. Hay naku.
