Ohmybuhay has transferred to a US- based host. I just hope that their service is more reliable.
I registered the www.ohmybuhay.com domain name last year but only started publishing in mid-April during the Holy Week.
I was not adept in computer tech until after my daughter made a step by step guide, and taught me how to post and upload photos.
The first week after ohmybuhay went online, the hits were doubling each day. From 400, 800 then 1,600 then CRASHED.
After it first crashed, my site disappeared and could only be found if you type it’s complete URL. My viewership dropped. Beginning in July, the number of viewership went back to a thousand a day, then 1,500, then 2,000, 2,500. When it crashed on tuesday morning, it registered 3,600 hits.
I was told by my former host that when there are a lot of viewers, the site crashes which I found unacceptable because there are millions of websites worldwide. There are those who have started 10 years ago and naturally their viewership are of course much much higher. I do not believe that the increase in viewership is the cause of system malfunction.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can do this for years, and not suffer any site malfunction.
To those who sent emails and texts inquiring when omb would be back on line, thanks so much.
Some even told me they miss their daily dose of my kwento-kwento.
There are still some technical issues here and there but more or less it’s now up and running. Please bear with me and thank you so so much for reading ohmybuhay.
Salamat po.
