Father and son tycoons, John Gokongwei and Lance hosted a Chinese lauriat dinner for Pnoy and the Filipino businessmen at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangri-La Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai on September 2, 2011, our last night in Shanghai.
I remember when Erap was still President, we went to Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen. Mr. John Gokongwei and I were seatmates in the bus. One would never feel that this gentleman is one of the most successful businessman in our country, yet he gamingly and humbly sat in the bus, followed the tour guide, etc.
Mr. John is now 85 years old and has an excellent successor, his son Lance.
My other camera malfunctioned and I lost a lot of nice shots of President Noynoy Aquino, Sec. Mar. Roxas, the Filipino band, photos of our food, the other guests, etc.
Sayang.
