I attended a thanksgiving mass for Sen. Loren Legarda. The priest who’s a close friend of the Senator said:
“We cannot ask for more blessings from God if we are not thankful for the blessings which we have already received”.
I believe in what he said. We have to count our blessings no matter how little. I know it’s hard to feel appreciative when we are experiencing harships in our life.
Every night when I go to bed, and every morning as soon as I wake-up, I thank God for keeping me alive, for letting me do the things that I do, for keeping my family healthy and safe.
Palaspas are supposed to be hung at the door or window. For protection against lightning, thunder and evil spirits according to my mom.
I keep mine in the altar.
