Hotel and Dinner in Sonoma

Edmund and I drove for a little over an hour to the hotel we’re staying at in Sonoma, CA for the next 5 days.

We arrived at 4:14 and as soon as Edmund entered the hotel’s cozy lobby, he said “I like this hotel”.   He likes the amoy luma na US hotel,  nostalgic daw.

We were expecting that the hotel would be empty due to the coronavirus scare but there was a Caucasian couple checking in and we also saw  other guests sitting near the swimming pool.

Parking around the hotel was almost full.   We also have neighbors left and right evidence that the hotel still is enjoying good business.

We dropped off some wedding stuff like the welcome kits, Edmund’s suit, our shoes, my gown,  thank you cards, etc.

Our mood changed from being stressed out to relaxed as soon as we arrived.  We switched to a vacation mood. My husband told me that since his siblings opted to cancel their flights and not attend the wedding anymore, the two of us could stay longer in Sonoma to relax.  We’re staying until Tuesday actually.  He said we could stay for another day, if I want we could stay until Wednesday.  The Sonoma small town – laid back ambiance kind of rubbed on him.

We were so hungry we opened the box of biscuits intended for the welcome packages and ate two bags each.

After the 6-7 pm (9 -10 am Manila time) teleconference, we walked to the Thai restaurant for dinner. Judging by the number of people we’ve seen around us, Sonoma is a white country and they seem not worried about the virus because the Thai resto was busy as usual.

We are praying for a sunny Sunday like today.

Edmund ordered sweet and sour pork but I couldn’t find the pork. Puro gulay. I had 6 pieces of shrimps, daming gulay also. The two dishes looked identical.
