Hotel Nikko in San Francisco

August 4, 2019

Union Square in San Francisco used to be peaceful, orderly, chic, clean, smells “stateside”. Now I don’t feel that anymore. It has a mixed vibe— homelessness, chaos, filth, unsafe. Gone is the distinguishing smell of cleanliness. It is now replaced by the smell of marijuana and pee. it’s becoming common to see unkempt men standing at a corner, staring blankly, peeing on a post, walking aimlessly, screaming, yelling, only he, knows. It’s sad. The city is deteriorating because of the people living in it.

Union Square, San Francisco

It was a 15-minute walk through cobbled stones from the Ferry Building to Hotel Nikko. My luggage impressed me once again by withstanding the scrapes and bumps. Rolling on the uneven and rough street for half a mile was a true test of luggage strength and durability.

We thought of moving to a bigger room but okay na rin ito. It’s a queen-sized bed so pwede na rin.
