House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez had his colonoscopy a week ahead of Edmund. How did I know? They went to the same gastroenterologist. You know me, I am tsismosa.

Alvarez is the man of the hour. Ever since he came into power so to speak, he had made many people uncomfortable with his remarks and moves:

A few examples are:
He approved the showing of Lilia de Lima’s sex video but later backed off because of women groups’ objection.

On Lilia De Lima—–“Pia (Hontiveros), sasagutin ko yung tanong mo kanina kay…….. dapat sa kanya sa mental hospital (Mandaluyong) ikulong”.

He removed former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as minority speaker and other congressmen from their committee memberships including Vilma Santos because they voted against the restoration of the death penalty.

The tv news showed a clip from November 2016 with the Speaker talking about Lilia de Lima’s alleged illicit love affair—–“Yan si Dayan ay may asawang tao…. bakit? Babae rin naman ang asawa nya, yun ang naagrabyado”. (or something in that context).

Speaker Alvarez is ready to be disbarred for the sake of his lovelife, according to his pronouncements I read in the papers.

He’s on the front pages again because his girlfriend had a spat with the girlfriend of Tonyboy Floirendo. Tonyboy was an original member of our group Team Philippines. We traveled together during FVR’s presidency. We rode the presidential plane together with his dad, Don Antonio Floirendo, his nephew Anton Lagdameo. Anton was still single that time but already exclusively dating Dawn Zulueta. We were with about 15 or 20 businessmen accompanying the president in his official travels to help promote our country’s trade and investments. I hope to find time to gather all my presidential trip photos so I could show you.

Speaker- go ahead disbar me

Speaker Alvarez’ indiscretions are being defended by Rep. Harry Roque, etc. including no less than Pres. Duterte who said on tv— sino ba daw ang walang lawmaker na walang tatlo, apat na babae. Bakit daw aalisin ang kaligayahan. Pati mga bakla binanggit din nya.

Rody defends Alvarez- Philippine Star

Men defending men is not surprising. But women justifying men’s actions on infidelity is disappointing. I was sick to my stomach when I saw a group of female government officials saying “We voted for a president, not a priest”.
I was aghast with her rationalization of things.

I do not condemn the president nor Speaker Alvarez nor any person for their complicated relationships and love life. Kanya-kanya tayo ng buhay.

I am just appalled at what this women had said. They could have said instead “it’s their personal lives, so we don’t want to comment on that”.

For the sake of argument and following her line of thought that we did not vote for a priest….
So if Edmund goes astray, I should console myself with the reality that I did not marry a priest. So I should not expect my husband to do his damn best to avoid temptation. I think that’s denial and hypocritical. So if I scatter my prerek around, my husband should accept it because he married me and NOT A NUN. Tao lang ako hindi ako madre that dreams to be canonized.
So if my driver Efs my kusinera, I should not fire him because I hired a driver and not a pastor?

Actions of the past are pasts. But we still can do something to correct them. One, to refrain from doing it again, two, to stop doing it, three never to do it again. Four, all of the above.

  1. These politicians are so idiotic. Everytime I read the news, I get this urge to strangle them one by one.

Every time they open their mouths, puro kabobohan lumalabas sa kanila. It’s embarrassing to have them represent our country.

Lalo na yung DSWD Asec who joked about child porn..my gosh!
