I am National Congress Chairman

As if my energy level is high and my 2012 calendar is not yet full, I bravely accepted the nomination and election as Vice President of the Philippine Council of Management. I have been inactive as member of Philcoman for many years due to busyness, both real and imagined, but this year I thought I’ll just go for it to get it done and over with.

Despite my blurry eyes, I went to the meeting last thursday in Makati. Some officers are old acquaintances of mine like Dr. Nerza Rebustes, Voltaire Victoria, Cecil Arillo, Current Philcoman President Dr. Benjamin Sy Santos, Ped Salvador and of course Dr. Noli Santos.

I like this group, very low-key, simple people who are successful in their own rights and doing something good for our country. This is the only reason why I accepted the position. Not for the honor, title or anything. I just appreciate their trust and high respect for me. They’re very nice individuals. Although the task ahead as National Congress Chairman could be tough, it would be easy with everybody’s cooperation and support. Thy will be done, successfully, hopefully.

I don’t remember what I was saying. I was counting my fingers maybe.

My eyes were both blurry and puffy.
