Independence Day Resurgence
We watched the movie last Saturday evening. Edmund slept half of the time. I also dozed off several times. I had no intention to sleep but the dark scenes / shots were not pleasing to my eyes. I had to rest my eyes. I didn’t find any intense moment that would make me ready to start an intergalactic battle to save our planet unlike in the first version. Remember the words of the US president played by Bill Pullman, “Today is Independence Day!” After he said that, I wanted to join them to war.
Dito walang ganun. First thing that Edmund commented when the movie started “wala si Will Smith”. Kasi daw he was asking for a $50 million pay check for two sequels which the producers turned down.
We all liked the first Independence Day. I must have seen it more than twenty times. Whenever it’s showing on tv, I still watch it. The ID2 isn’t bad at all. I give it a 3 over 5 star.
Napagalitan pa ako ng anak ko sa loob ng sinehan kasi when the guy who plays the role of Will Smith’s son appeared, I found him medyo kulata. He’s supposed to be a jet fighter, kailangan tigasin ang dating. Eh tila medyo soft ang aura. “Gay, gay, tart gay”.
Oyen—-“Mommm, everybody can hear you”.
It’s July 4th on monday, show your support to the Americans by watching this movie.
Every time I see Jeff Goldblum, who plays as a satellite engineer in this movie, I couldn’t help but identify him with Jurassic Park instead.
The young Australian actor, Liam Hemsworth is so good looking. He’s the boyfriend of Miley Cyrus.
We had dinner first before watching the 8:20 pm showing.
It’s always hot in Pepper Lunch restaurant in Eastwood Mall. They always point to their ceiling every time I complained. Sira daw aircon. I told them they’ve been saying that for more than a year.
There was a black stand fan at the corner but it didn’t help. I almost walked out. It was hot and humid.
Oyen wanted to eat in Crisostomo’s but Edmund suggested “dun na lang sa sizzling steak”.
Oyen got a free molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream because she has a coupon or points (?).
