My children and I attended the anticipated mass last saturday February 25. We were late by some 5 minutes. There were round party tables set-up in the chapel’s garden and waiters were busy chopping- up the lechon.
I initially thought that after the Holy Mass, Congressman Bolet Banal and company were probably hosting a dinner for the residents.
When we walked closer to the chapel, there’s a wake.
Attending mass while there’s a wake is always eerie and sad. Of course, our concentrations were off and our minds wondered and wandered. Who died? How did she die? What happened to her? Oh my God she’s only 41?
We heard that this young wife, Lea Angelo-Ng, went out to meet someone and never made it home. Her car was found abandoned. Apparently, she was killed on January 20, the day she went missing. Her decomposing body was found after a month.
This is so very very very sad and scary.
After the mass, my inlaws and I shook the hand of the husband “Condolence” was all I said. What does one say to a grieving family most especially if the victim suffered inexplicable pain and has been robbed off of her precious life?
Crime in our country is high and has been rising steadily. There are so many bad people in our midst. Sometimes the perpetrators are known to the victims.
Life is becoming so cheap in our country.
Wala na ang paggalang at pag papahalaga sa buhay ng kapwa.
