It’s Election Day

The past months were full of excitements, arguments, hurling of invectives, digging and throwing of muds, inventing stories. Friends, relatives, families, fought over their differences in political beliefs.
This election brought out the worst in some people trying to defend their presidential choice. Actually no, not in defending their choice. This election brought out the worst in people because of the kind of language they used in hitting the candidates they didn’t like.

Some were like the fiercest lions ready to pounce on any one who they thought were stupids for thinking of voting for BBM.

Isko Moreno spent his campaign energies by telling people not nice things about the VP, and sometimes about the yellow and the reds.

Our kumpare joined in most Pacquiao rallies. Although he has accepted that Pacquaio is not going to win based on the surveys, he is happy because he met so many good business connections and new acquaintances at the campaign sorties.

For the position of vice president, Kiko and family campaigned so hard and went door to door this past two weeks. I saw his brother Joseph’s posts.

I watched on tv the performance of Gary Valenciano and his son Gab Valenciano singing and dancing on stage at the rally. Sharon Cuneta of course was there to endorse her husband. I also saw Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid singing and expressing their support for Kiko and Leni. Leni never ran out of celebrity endorsers, Angel Locsin, Piolo Pascual, Kris Aquino, the multi-talented Vice Ganda, etc.

Today, it boils down between Leni and BBM. No one knows yet who will win until after all the votes had been counted.

In the meantime, let’s all troop to the polling places to vote for our favorite candidates.
