Jazzy is my son’s shih-tzu. She was born in October 2003 making her almost 8 years old x 7 = 56 dog years. I bought her for P14,000 from a pet shop in Robinson’s Galleria. That store is no longer there.
Jazzy got pregnant by one of our dogs, Buddy (sumalangit nawa). She gave birth to 4 dead puppies. She became very weak after that and almost died had she not have been brought to the dog hospital for proper medical care.
She got better, then had infection in her uterus. She had hysterectomy and I spent some P34,000!!!!!!
She got better, then had blood infection which required her to stay in the hospital for several days which cost me P11,000+ medicines, vitamins. Plus succeeding weekly check-ups.
She got better, then her left eye got infected. We suspected it was scratched by one of our dogs, Twinkle, the American citizen. She was confined in the hospital for a few days which cost me some money again, plus her continuing medications.
She got better. Now she pees everywhere because of incontinence and accidentally slams her head on the wall because of her deteriorating eyesight and one eye is blind.
