Almost everyday some friends of mine send me text messages, or forward me messages which have also been forwarded to them. Sometimes, I get the same message from three different people. Some are inspiring, funny, corny. Once in a blue moon, some person would forward bastos message probably thinking I would find it interesting.
My friend Father Jonil Lalap, sends me daily text messages about God, love of God, messages of hope, quotes from the Holy Bible. Basta everything spiritual and good. His extra sensory perception probably tells him that I am maldita that’s why he has taken upon himself to guide me, spiritually so I could be holy indeed. Thank you Fr.
My long time friends Anton Sayo and Serge Ortiz, forward messages that are all kalokohan. About political personalities, about celebrities, kahit ano basta nakakatawa. Minsan sobrang wa-kwenta and corny. I receive the message twice because they share messages. Sometimes, I get the same message 3x because they obviously have sent it also to another friend of ours. I don’t usually acknowledge forwarded messages unless I really find it meaningful, or hilarious.
One time, I found the joke so funny so I thought maybe, it’s good to share it also with some friends of mine. I made the big mistake of forwarding it to Fr. Lalap. He texted back, “we have time for unimportant things, but we don’t have time for God”. Pahiya ako (hehehe), since then, I never forwarded any joke-jokes to him.
Zeny, wife of Felix, is into wheatgrass and other holistic things. She regularly sends me messages about her area of interest like body cleansing, mind and body rejuvenation, etc.
Sec. Gary Teves forwards messages with deeper meaning, soul-searching, medyo serious and intellectual ng konti. Minsan he also fowards jokes which have been forwarded to him also.
I would like to share with you two of Fr. Jonil’s morning guidance:
1. Life is a gift. Let’s cherish the moment when we are empty but happy, tired but inspired, down but smiling, feeling lost but living for a cause.
2. We live in this world full of trials, but by the grace of God
we remain standing like trees. Even if the leaves are falling,
still there are new leaves of hope waiting.
(very inspiring ‘no?)
This is from Gary:
Never get tired of doing little things for others, because sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part in their hearts.

GORIO: Sa awa ng Dyos pare.
PEDRO: P’ano Pards, ngayong graduate na tayo, ano, tuloy pa ba tayo sa hi- iskul?
