Joselito is one of Aileen’s good friends. Their friendship dates back during Manila days. They met more than 23 years ago at a computer class. He is ninong to Aileen’s daughter.
Aileen is witness to his early struggles capturing the American dream. He is now happily settled, living comfortably in his recently -bought – house in Pacifica, and happily working at the shoes department of Saks 5th Avenue.
We visited him hoping to get a good discount, at baka may sale sila. Cheap talaga kami.

Some 10 years ago, I bought a pair of Blahnik from Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan. I had buyer’s remorse for 3 days because it was expensive. Believe me, I agonized during the night whether to return it or not. I ended up keeping the shoes, the usual justification of “regalo sa sarili ko”. The pair has served me well. I have worn it many times during formal occasions. Medyo luma na sya pero still wearable.
Nice for formal events.
