I first posted this on May 29. There have been several requests to move it up because they couldn’t read all the titles, natabunan na daw ito sa dami ng posts ko.

I feel that I am being left behind by time. World now is far different from my world then. I am not able to fully integrate myself with the new technologies, new terminologies, new culture. new mentality. I am a person of the past.
They showed a muscular man on tv discussing his fitness regimen. I commented “nag ba- barbel yan”. My husband said “stop using that word, noong araw pa yan. Halata na ang edad mo. Barbel ay brand ng weights”.
(Me)- “so anong tawag ngayon?” (Edmund) “weights”. (Me)- “but that’s not Tagalog, what is it in Tagalog?” Edmund answered – “basta weights”
Now a days, when you are romantic, CHEESY KA.
Now a days, , when you are laughing, its LOL, Nuon, SOBRA MAKA HALAKHAK.
Second hand bags are now called PRE-LOVED. Nuon, PINAGLUMAAN. PINAGSAWAAN. Kung English naman, HAND ME DOWN.
Now a days, old clothes are proudly referred to as antiques or vintage.
My learning curve is slow but I am trying to be current and updated.
Now a days. when someone asks me something that I do not know, I answer, i GOOGLE mo.
I am also like you. I cannot keep up with mny children’s new ways.
Inspirtaional Read and light read.
