My parents bought sweepstakes tickets (no lotto yet that time) religiously and never won a thing.
Everytime the sweepstakes ticket agent came, and to entice my parents, she would say, “Ka Cardo, pili na ng tiket, isang daang libo na ho ang jackpot. ” My father would say “naku baka sa tuwa ko ay paglundag ko, patay ako pagbagsak sa tuwa”. See how negative he was? maybe that’s why he did not win.
I did not learn from that lesson, that’s why I still continue the “wishing” by betting in the lotto. I don’t buy regularly. Maybe 3 x a year. However beginning last year, I started buying more often specially when the jackpot hit the P750M. I must admit that up to now, I am still grieving over that loss. I already had a very clear plan on what to do with that dump truck load of cash in case I get lucky. When I did not win, I had no choice but to go back to my plan B— — go back to work.
Last night was traffic again (as if this is something new), so to stretch my legs and back, I stopped-by Robinsons Pioneer.
I decided to try my luck and bought several lotto tickets.
I don’t want you to know in case I won. You will ask for balato.
LOTTO UPDATE, I won one hundred pesos (P100).
