From Santa Barbara Mission we drove to the oceanside to grab lunch.

We didn’t do prior research so it would be a hit or miss thing,

MOBY DICK

Fish market display with Santa Barbara local fish sign.

Pier extending into the ocean under a clear blue sky.

A sign explaining the Moby Dick legend about a white whale and whalers.

The first seafood restaurant we entered had an hour wait so we walked over to the next restaurant, Moby Dick.   There were lots of customers too but we were able to get a table.

The tables beside the windows have a nicer view of the water.

Cozy rustic restaurant interior with wooden beams and warm lighting.

People dining with a scenic ocean view through large windows.

i know of a family who fell in love with this beach town. They flew to Santa Barbara from Manila every chance they got. When there’s a long weekend, they would fly and stayed even for 5 days. After two or three years their attention shifted to Japan where they now own a large vacation house.

I see why many people tell me Santa Barbara is beautiful.
